Halifax to Lunenburg, NS

Distance: 50nm

Time: 9hrs

Motoring: 2hrs

We planned on leaving at 8am but our neighbor had anchored close to us which meant our anchor was beneath their boat. We tried hailing them, calling them etc with no success. Ended up putting the dinghy in the water and rowing out to them and advise what the situation was. Brennan was more the obliging and made sure to give us plenty of room as we raised our anchor.

We departed around 9am. Once clear of the arm we unfurled the genoa and sailed with it only on a broad reach the entire way to our 5 nm outside Lunenburg at which point we started the motor and motored into Lunenburg. Place wasn't too busy and we're able to find a place to drop anchor.
