

La Poile, Newfoundland
Time to go. Today we leave our beloved Rose Blanche and are bound for La Poile (pronounced La Poyle, like foil). The morning is calm and sunny, with the barest breeze pushing us off the dock - ideal conditions. Upon exiting the harbour the only thing we could ask for is wind. It takes 9 knots to get Sea Fire going under sail power and we only have 4 knots so we kick our feet up and settle in for a comfortable and short motor to our next destination, letting Simmy, our autopil
